IMWTK - Posted: September 17, 2009 Speaking of high yellers like Beyonce Knowles and Nicole Richie, why are they always referred to as "black", or African American? ... Nicole Richie argubly has more white blood in her than black. ... So isn't that racist to call her black and ignore the fact that she is mostly white? Please answer soonest, for Inquiring Minds Want To Know... |
Captain Freedom - Posted: September 17, 2009 When we refer to "big government" we have little idea of just how big our monolithic federal government has become. Each year the Competitive Enterprise Institute ( publishes Ten Thousand Commandments: An Annual Snapshot of the Fedeeral Regulatory State.
"Last year Congress passed and the President signed into law a total of 285 bills. Yet federal regulatory agencies issued 3,830 final rules. The total regulatory compliance costs hit $1.172 trillion in 2008. That is almost as much as Uncle Sam raised in individual income tax collections.Do not bother trying to find this story in any of the liberal media. It was reported by Forbes Magazine June 22 issue. Click here for a direct link to the story. By the way, the Forbes June 22 issue features Beyonce Knowles. Did you know she pulls in $87 million annually? ... Her income makes Kayne West look like a piker. |
TTSI - Posted: September 15, 2009 re the notion that we should be "civil" with lying traitors: Both obama and bush (and virtually all of congress) should thank God that they have not been hung in the street. I pray for the day. |
and yet... - Posted: September 15, 2009 From one public school graduate to another, I would like to have you on my side of a fight since you are the son of a dirt poor Irish sharecropper. Now in regard to pickin' cotton, I don't think my lineage could ever afford it, as far as we can figure out, our family crawled out of the mountains of NC with quite a bit of Cherokee blood in us and settled down in the valley. :o) |
WILD " gives credit where credit is due" WILLIE - Posted: September 15, 2009 "and yet ...-" -- You expressed yourself very well for a public-school graduate, and made your point succinctly, yet sufficiently. I agree with you and fully support the First Amendment. Why am I "so easily goaded to a fight?" ... The short answer is that I am naturally combative. The long answer is that I am the son of a dirt-poor Irish sharecropper who witnessed his family persecuted and ridiculed. By the way, "and yet", we picked our own danm cotton. Okay, I confess. I also am a public-school graduate. :o) |
and yet... - Posted: September 15, 2009 Wild Willie, I stand corrected, but donate $25 more not to piss me off, but to further your cause. You and I never have to agree on anything, but I would like to think that we can at least agree on the fact that we (as of right now) have the freedom to put our hard earned dollars towards campaign funds. In the end, I won't be upset, or angry about your contributions. For the sake of discussion and not argumentation, why are you so easily goaded to a fight? |
WILD " s stickler for accuracy" WILLIE - Posted: September 15, 2009 It was $25, not $20. I think I will go right now and contribute $25 more to Rep. Joe Wilson just to pi$$ you off. |
and yet... - Posted: September 15, 2009 That's fine that Rep. Wilson was telling the truth. Still utterly disrespectful and not thought out. The venue for his uncontrollable outburst was not appropriate. Neither am I defending Kanye West or Serena Williams, both are also not in control of their emotions. The only point I was trying to make is that while we condemn their actions, we look the other way for others. Why is that? Just because Representative Wilson was telling the truth, does that mean he must make a mockery of the Presidential Post. (I mean the position, not the man here.) I don't watch NBC news either. Now, for the Wild Man. I did prove EBS's point, I knew I would when I posted, but EBS decided only to post in regards to the lack of control of black celebrities. There have been more atrocious behaviors in recent years by eurocentric folks, but no commentary from the peanut gallery here. I did attend public schools, not too proud of that fact either since TN frequently ranks very low in their education system. Must be people like you who ridicule education to make sure you get to carry your fire-arm to the fair or you'll stamp your feet, cry about it, and be proud of the fact that you took a stand...nevermind that most of you probably didn't even pass through the gate of the park when you could carry a firearm. It's laughable, none of you have actually do anything to change the current system, but log on here every day to complain and talk about how horrible it is. Oh wait I take that back, somebody did give $20 to re-elect Joe Wilson. So, one of you want to change things...or keep them the same. |
Fired a few rounds a long time ago - Posted: September 15, 2009 Gunney 45, you said that torture does not work. ....... Then I will bet that you have never been tortured, except when MSNBC news came on and you could not find your remote control. :-) |
WILD "calls a spade a spade" WILLIE - Posted: September 15, 2009 EBS, I took the point of your first post to be that whites could not be critical of West and Williams, else they be called racist. Am I right? It looks like the "and yet" poster proved your point. "and yet" attacked you and inferred that you are racist because you supported national condemnation of their actions. I read nothing in your post in defense of Representative Joe Wilson. "and yet" must have attended public schools. |
