Inquiring Minds Want To Know (IMWTK) - Posted: August 22, 2009 Gun Please respons soonest, for Inquiring Minds Want To Know. |
BigBore PETE - Posted: August 22, 2009 GUNBOY, wow! You got me. That "idiot" remark really won the debate for you. If only I had thought of that strategy first. You obviously are much smarter than I, and it is futile for me to debate you. ... But I will try anyway. One question: Would it have been better to have one or two "collateral damage" deaths at Columbine High School at the hands of an armed teacher who would shoot and kill the crazed gunman, or would you prefer to have the teachers unarmed (as it was) and the killer murdered 13 people and injured 21. If teachers were have been allowed to be armed many lives and suffering would have been avoided. But, no. The true idiots in America are so hell-bent on disarming all of us and keeping us at the mercy of the true lunitics. Are you a left-liberal GUNBOY? Or you just someone who wants to tell others what thay can do and cannot do? ... I know, you have a special "talent" in that area. Yeah, you are just smarter than the rest of us "idiots". |
GunBoy - Posted: August 22, 2009 I'm making a point idiot. Yeah I know only criminals........ etc. etc. Got it. I have seen perfectly rational people turn into raving lunatics one time too many at ball games. And the thought of them being armed worries me. How would you ever make it in a town with real criminals if you are so paranoid in this little town the you need to carry a "self defense" weapon even at a child's ball game? You notice I said I carry mine most everywhere? Some places I would rather duck and cover than take a chance of my strays killing a child. You would probably consider it collateral damage right? |
Not-A-Shark - Posted: August 22, 2009 Q: Do the police have a legal obligation to protect citizens? A: No. Courts have ruled over and over that the police have no legal obligation to protect citizens, and if citizens are harmed by some miscreant, the police cannot be held liable even if they were misfeasant or malfeasant. |
BigBore PETE - Posted: August 22, 2009 GUNBOY, have you ever had a "lunatic" parent charge the plate and knife you? After all, knives are legal and surely some of the "lunatic" parents had knives at the games. So, GUNBOY, what makes you think that "lunatic" parents would shoot you if they had guns? Remember, in gun-free zones, only the criminals are armed. Everyone else is totally defenseless. |
GunBoy - Posted: August 22, 2009 Guns in parks is a double edge sword, I carry mine most everywhere. I also coached and umpired for several years in all the local parks. Without a doubt I would be long dead for calling little Jimmy out at home plate. Otherwise law abiding parents become complete lunatics when their little Pete Rose is on the field. If we could allow guns in parks but not at children's sports events that would be a great solution. |
BigBore PETE - Posted: August 22, 2009 Re the gun ban in Athens parks: Yes, TTSI, the infamous, dastardedly, tyrannical Athens City Council voted 4 to 1 to make it illegal for carry-permit holders from entering parks with their self-defense weapons. Councilman Dick Pelly was the only one who stood up for our Second Amendment gun rights and voted against the law. Have any of you Obama fans bought any bullets lately? I was down at Benton Shooter Supply the other day and got two shocks of my life. The first was a long-legged, bra-less honey in short-shorts. The second shock was finding out that ONE (1) 9mm bullet is $2.00. At those prices I think I will start beating burglers with a ball bat instead of shooting them. .... On second thought, nah. :-) |
Mohawk Watush - Posted: August 22, 2009 Wild Willie, I think that sign-the-billboard activity Saturday at Goody's is sponsored by theMcMinn County TEA Party. |
Mohawk Watush - Posted: August 22, 2009 TTSI, I have been AWOL from this page for a while. Are Algernon or Rbecca, or any of the other libertarians, still posting every now and then? |
mercenary - Posted: August 21, 2009 Oh, and brother Thomas - if you or yours are assaulted in a mcMinn County park by some thug who doesn't obey laws, I don't want to hear any whining. Or could it be that you are one of the County Elite, who can carry a weapon antwhere without paying the blackmail money to the State? |
