I agree with the Lad,America did not get the Olympics because the world now hates us and it is GWB's fault.

Could it be the Olympic Committee picked Rio because South America has NEVER hosted the Olympics? The "It's Bush's Fault" argument gets a little weak. You do know he isn't the Prez anymore, right?

Barack Obama preformed brilliantly at the Olympic Committee, It was the fault of George Bush that Chicago was not selected.

Rio got the nod; Chicago went out in the first round. It does not matter, for both Chicago and Rio are foreign countries to me.

re Grady:
It's a brutally-sad situation, as his poor wife has now lost both her husband and daughter (who if guilty, must be a psychopath of the 1st order). And she was arrested at his funeral ! I simply can't fathom her grief. I hope she has other (decent/ loving) children and family to help her through this.

I read that Grady's daughter was arrested for his murder. I wonder what her motivation was? ... Grady always seemed like a good guy.

The best defense against a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.
A good guy with a gun is better than a cop on the phone.

Beck (and most self-described "patriots") have NO problem with "big govt", provided that the "big" part is the MILITARY. i.e. "I really hate the mafia, but just love its henchmen." Or "I really distrust govt, but will believe anything that an alpha-floater admiral says." Or "I really love freedom, but fully support slavery (conscription) if done in the name of any war that the D.C. psychopaths can drum up." Real patriots love real liberty, while pretend-patriots love only the label.

CC - I think you forgt that unlike Limbaugh, Glen Beck was just as hard on G.W. Bush & Co. He often complained of the Haliburton tie to the administration, and was vociferously opposed to the Patriot Act. He has been consistent in his oppositon to big government.

Forget the DC morons - it's a lost cause - matters not who is captain of the Titanic. When the option-arm mortgages and commercial real-estate tsunamis hit, they will trigger massive bank failures and a brutal depression. Prepare or starve.
