Site Release

October 22, 2000: Release 3.0 - Complete re-design of the site. Now utilizing PHP, MySQL and Perl.

New Features:

1. Site: Moved the site to a faster, more reliable web server located at tellico.net
   Decided to move after being kicked off-line while surfing the net for the last time.
   If you want to change your dial-up account or host your webpage on tellico.net click here (Tellico.net has a local number in Athens now.)
2. Search Engine: You can search the Internet from the top 15 search engines right from the top of each page on the site.
3. Finance Page: You can now look up stock quotes and never have to leave the site.
4. Finance Page: Ability to create a stock portfolio.
5. Finance Page: Added business news that is updated daily.
6. Sound-Off: New Sound-Off layout utilizing new technology.
7. Sound-Off: You can now see how many people are reading the posts at the same time you are.
8. Weather: Weather for McMinn county is retreved from National Weather Service - (IWIN) automatically every 5 minutes.
9. Bulletin Board: New Bulletin Board layout utilizing new technology.
10. Chat: New chat design, also new chat rooms.
11. Sports: Added sport scores for NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB. Updated ever 15 minutes
12. Sports: Added local sport schedules. If you have a schedule you want added to the site e-mail it to sports@mcminn.net
13. National News: Added national news back to the site. Information updated daily.
14. Movies: Added a movies page with movie times for local theaters including Cleveland.
15. Movies: Added top 10 movies list updated once a week.
16. Video: Upcoming video releases updated more often.
17. Health: Added today's health news which is updated daily.
